How to Create a Sitemap for WordPress

The easiest way to make search engines aware of the content on your website is to create a sitemap and submit it to them. It also puts you in the driver seat on the amount of content that goes on the search engines as well as the importance to be given to specific pages. The easiest way to create a sitemap is to use a plugin and create it automatically.

The standard plugin used for the longest time has been the Google XML Sitempas plugin. The most obvious reason being Google! Hence, first off install the plugin to XML-Sitemap under the Settings tab in your WordPress admin panel. Next click on the Add Sitemap URL to the virtual Robots.txt file box.
